About Uttara Center
Uttara Center serves the heart of the Uttara Model Town — primarily Sectors 6 and 7, two of the largest planned residential sectors in northern Dhaka. The station opened with the first segment of MRT Line 6 on 28 December 2022.
Within a short walk you have the Sector 7 park, several schools and tutorial centres, mosques, the Rajlokkhi commercial area and a dense cluster of restaurants serving breakfast, biriyani and South Asian food.
The station is elevated with concourse access on both sides of Sonargaon Janapath, making cross-road transfers easier than at most surface intersections in this part of Dhaka.

Connections and transfers
MRT Line 6 — direct trains north (towards Uttara North) and south (towards Motijheel). No transfers needed for any L6 station.
Dhaka public buses — local BRTC and private bus routes serve the surface roads adjacent to Uttara Center. Look for the signposted bus stand on either side of the road outside the station entrances.
Rickshaws and CNG auto-rickshaws — readily available at every entrance; useful for short hops to neighbourhoods not directly on the metro alignment.
