About Mirpur 11

Mirpur 11 serves Section 11 of the Mirpur residential township — one of the largest planned residential developments in Dhaka, dating back to the 1950s. The station opened on 15 March 2023.

The area is a mix of mid-rise apartment buildings, small shopping streets, mosques and the eastern edge of the Mirpur Cantonment. Section 11 is famous in Dhaka for its dense street-food culture and weekly bazaar near the Mirpur Section 11 bus stand.

The MRT Line 6 station is elevated and has step-free access on both sides of Mirpur Road, important because the surface crossings in this area can be very busy.

Connections and transfers

MRT Line 6 — direct trains north (towards Uttara North) and south (towards Motijheel). No transfers needed for any L6 station.

Dhaka public buses — local BRTC and private bus routes serve the surface roads adjacent to Mirpur 11. Look for the signposted bus stand on either side of the road outside the station entrances.

Rickshaws and CNG auto-rickshaws — readily available at every entrance; useful for short hops to neighbourhoods not directly on the metro alignment.

DMTCL does not provide parking at its stations. Most users arrive on foot or by rickshaw.
Mirpur 11 is served by the same trains as the rest of MRT Line 6. From Sunday to Thursday and on Saturdays the first train leaves Uttara North at 06:30 and Motijheel at 07:15; the last leaves Uttara North at 21:50 and Motijheel at 22:30. On Fridays the first trains are at 15:00 and 15:20, with the same last departures. Trains come every 5–6 minutes at the busiest times and every 20 at the very start and end of the day. DMTCL publishes terminal times only, not a time per station.
