About Bangladesh Secretariat

Bangladesh Secretariat is the station serving the principal seat of administration of the Government of Bangladesh — the Bangladesh Secretariat building complex, home to the country's ministries and cabinet offices.

Within walking distance you have Osmani Udyan park, the Gulistan area (one of the largest surface bus interchanges in Dhaka), Baitul Mukarram (the national mosque), and the northern fringes of the Old Dhaka district. The historic Jagannath University campus is also a short ride away.

The station opened with the southern segment on 4 November 2023 and has become a major commuter station for civil servants travelling between northern Dhaka and their offices in the Secretariat.
